Our house reef is a real playground for folks who love taking pictures underwater or for those just starting to learn how to dive. It’s like a large, safe swimming pool, but so much more exciting because of all the sea life you can see.
The water’s not too deep, just around 5 to 15 meters. The sea floor gently slopes, making it perfect for newbies to get comfortable with diving and for the pros to practice buoyancy.
If you’re interested in diving a little deeper, you can try something called Nitrox diving right here at the house reef. So you get more time to check out the fish and plants and other cool things down there.
Now, for the more experienced divers, there’s a fun activity at the Calypso house reef. When the sun goes down, we switch on our torchlights and go on a little adventure.
We look for all sorts of small sea creatures like nudibranches, frogfish, and leaf scorpionfish that usually come out at night. They’re really interesting to watch, and trust me, it’s way more exciting than it sounds!
So whether you’re a beginner just starting to get your fins wet or an old hand looking for new underwater adventures, our house reef is the perfect spot.
It’s got calm waters, plenty of sea life to gawk at, and it’s the right depth for all sorts of fun underwater activities. You’re bound to have a great time!
